Sturgeon Bay, WI (March 14, 2023): Virlee Gunworks, a leading firearms training and sales company, has partnered with Door County real estate agencies to offer safety training to its agents.
“We’re excited to be working with Door County Board of Realtors to provide their agents with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe in the field,” said Owner Scott Virlee. “As a company that takes safety seriously, we’re committed to helping individuals and real estate agencies prepare for the unexpected.”
Many real estate agents have expressed concerns about their safety while on the job. According to a report from the National Association of Realtors, 33% of realtors have experienced a situation that made them fear for their personal safety or the safety of their personal information.
“Real estate agents often work alone and enter unfamiliar homes and neighborhoods,” said Oscar Castillo, Virlee Gunworks manager and instructor. “We wanted to give agents the tools they need to feel confident and secure when they’re out in the field.”
The training program, developed by Virlee Gunworks, covered a range of topics related to firearm safety and self-defense. Participants learned about deterrents, situational awareness, and techniques forprotecting themselves in dangerous situations.
“We want to make sure that real estate agents are equipped to handle any situation that may arise,” said Scott Virlee. “By providing them with comprehensive safety training, we hope to give them the peace of mind they need to focus on their jobs and serve their clients.
The training session took place at the Virlee Gunworks training facility this past week, where participants had access to experienced instructors and state-of-the-art facilities.
